“ One of the better spots to have dinner while in Palm Springs. The restaurant is beautiful, the million dollar martini is one of the best martinis I've ever had, and all of the dishes we had were delicious. We started with the escargot, breaded scallops, then had lobster ravioli and a steak dish. (Also, the complimentary bread and butter at the beginning of the meal shouldn't be missed! Take a bite and you feel like you're in Paris.) Can't wait to try more dishes at our next visit. ”
“ Our go to place to celebrate our anniversary. They treat you very well as if you're coming into their home. Food is the best in town hands down.Ambiance is perfect for any special occasions. Staffs are very pleasant and attentive to all of your needs making your time there very memorable. Definitely coming back given a chance and highly recommended. ”
“ This was my first visit here and everything was exceptional! We sat outside on the beautiful patio which was a treat in and of itself. The waitstaff was very accommodating and kind to our friend who was in a wheelchair. Most especially Raymond the manager and our waitress Ava! The food was off the charts delicious--- delicately crafted Ceasar salad, perfectly cooked steak and lobster tail with a subtle vanilla sauce, We will certainly be back! ”
“ This is a classy place with amazing service. Definitely request to be seated outside, it's beautiful. They have a Sommelier thank you Santi for excellent wine recommendations. All staff were hospitable and Raymond for the food recommendations!. ”
“ My mother and I just came back from having Christmas dinner at Le Vallauris. I was a bit scared of spending our evening here given the recent, questionable reviews but we had a great time. Service started off a bit poor with us being seated and given water, but then we didn't see anyone for about 15 minutes or so after that. Once we placed our orders, everything was perfection. The food was outstanding, despite not knowing that is was a set menu at $135/pp. Oysters were a tad small, but my mom loved her beet and burrata salad. Her filet and my sea bass were awesome. Desserts were equally as tasty; PB&J log and Passionfruit Creme Brûlée. The restaurant was cozy inside, but my chair had the fabric torn which wasn't the best look for such a nice place. Overall, I would come back here for a special occasion. ”
“ We decided to go to this place recently and they seem to be under new management and they have a new chef. I didn't think this place could get any better but it has the food was absolutely delicious and the ambience is always amazing under the trees and sparkly lights. Also very romantic. ”
“ I wanted to experience the restaurant that Frank Sinatra attended so often. He hosted parties for his celebrity friends here. I understand that the chef Sinatra planned his menu with still cooks here but he is retiring. The place is beautiful. The dining inside and out is glamorous. It's worth a visit. I had the lobster ravioli. It was delicious with generous chunks of fresh lobster served in a bisque. It was the best I've tasted. Well worth the price. The wine list is very extensive. The menu was a white board. I thought it was hard to read. Service was adequate but simple questions about the wine and menu were deflected. It was a slow process closing out our bill. The server apologized. ”
“ Le Vallauris is a Palm Springs mainstay. Beautiful indoor / outdoor seating with a variety of options for your dining adventure. The chefs tasting and special menus are great but I actually recommend going family style if you can. A few favorites include the main lobster, roasted duck, and halibut. Highly recommend ”
“ There were absolutely some five star aspects to this restaurant. The food was delicious, our waiter (Lucas I think) was awesome, cocktails are fabulous, and the pictures don't do justice to how quaint and romantic the courtyard is. We shared the crispy scallops, the Scandinavian plate, the sea bass (although it may have been mahi-mahi), and chocolate soufflé. The crispy scallops and Scandinavian plate were fabulous, the fish was good,, and the soufflé was not something I would order again. The wine list was so-so, which led to cocktails being the drink of choice. I had the Manhattan and a martini. I was definitely a little tipsy when I left! Of the two, the martini was my favorite. It's such a simple drink, but somehow they made it very very well. Here's what I would change, if anybody cares : The menu presented to you is only for a three or seven course prix fixe, and you can only have it if everyone at the table " participates," They bring a massive board, handwritten with a million different options. I'm sorry, but that is overwhelming. I don't go to dinner to stress over, reading a messy, handwritten menu board. Make it easier. Too many choices! Second, the board may have worked better if they allowed you to order as you go. We tried to order an appetizer, and we were told that we need to order everything at once. Again, stressful. I like to start with a little something and then gauge my hunger level. Because we were pressured, and not by our waiter but the system, we just ended up sharing a few things. Pros: atmosphere, service, food Cons: menus, and "inviting" you to order everything at once. And, maybe it's just me, but prix fixe feels a little passé unless you've got some Michelin Stars under your belt. Granted, it was optional, but all of the choices were way too much for a nice dinner out. I probably would've given it five stars if those cons weren't so annoying, but they were. They were totally annoying. At the end of the day it's probably a solid 4.5 stars. ”
